Chatham Bars Inn | Lindsay Griffin Wedding Hairstylist

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of working with four different brides in four days. What a whirlwind of fun!! I began my weekend on Friday at the Chatham Bars Inn. As I drove in, the scenery was straight out of a magazine. I felt as though I was entering a magical fairytale, and I was! Kristen and Jon’s fairytale! The sun was shining, with a slight breeze, it was just perfect. I was greeted by Kristen’s hilarious girlfriends. They had me in hysterics before I even began. The music was blasting, they were jamming, and the conversations, I won’t go into detail, but let’s just say it was a lot of fun!!! I met Miss Jenny of Jenny Moloney Photography and her hubby Blake! They were super cool and pretty darn amazing at what they do! If these are the teasers, I can’t wait to see the rest of them!

Boston Hair Stylist | Fall hair color

Darker and warmer hues are always the trend for fall hair color, but this fall, more than ever, brunette is going to be huge! As you have seen, brunettes are all over the runway. Don’t be afraid, you can always go the semi-permanent route, which will fade on tone, allowing you to go back blonde in the spring. The Lenox Hotel | Boston Wedding

This stunning Boston wedding took place on 9.1.12 at the Lenox Hotel. It was a picture perfect September day, with clear blue skies. Mary and Steve could not have planned it any better! We started off at their condo in the Seaport District, which of course was right next to two of my fav spots in Boston, the Flour Cafe and Drink.

I loved how each girl wanted a different look. The maids had everything from a soft, romantic do, to a whimsical french braid, to a high voluminous Audrey Hepburn do! The bride wanted a simple yet sophisticated low chignon, which fit her look to a T. Stacey Frasca was beside me creating flawless faces! She was super fun, and made each girl feel so special. Looking forward to working with all of them again in November for Mary’s sister Maggie’s upcoming wedding! How awesome is that?

Mary and Steve worked with Boston photographer, Carly Michelle, who is a darling. Her work truly tells a story of their special day!

Boston Wedding Hairstylist | Vintage Marshfield Wedding

I have been so excited to get this post up! Finally! A few weeks ago, this Boston wedding hairstylist had the honor of working with Bethany at her vintage Marshfield wedding! When I first met her, she sat down in my chair and explained how she wanted a vintage hairstyle! For those of you who don’t know me, I love all different hairstyles, but vintage….I absolutely LOVE! So, enough about what I love, let’s talk about Bethany and her big day! I arrived at her parents house in Marshfield, Ma around 11am. As I got out of my car, there were flowers everywhere, handmade chandeliers dangling from the trees, with mason jars hanging from them, filled with sand and candles. There were vintage frames clipped together also hanging from trees. It was straight out of Style Me Pretty! Now the tent! Each table inside was filled with vintage mismatch china, vintage books, and flowers galore. The place cards were made by Bethany herself, using all different vintage buttons. It was spectacular, I mean spectacular! As I walked into the house, the energy and excitement was ecstatic! As I styled the ladies vintage coiffure, Miss Jannicke Welde worked her vintage makeup magic! We all shared a lot of laughs and a few happy tears, which Dan Aguirre of course captured! I could tell Bethany’s fairy tale was coming true before her very own eyes! It is such a blessing to be a part of it all!

New England Aquarium Wedding | Jessica & Jeff

Want to talk about a cool Boston wedding venue? The New England Aquarium is it! My bride Jessica and her now husband Jeff were married at this fantastic venue right on the water. What a view! Boston Wedding Hairstylist | Hair Inspiration

As a Boston Wedding Hairstylist, I can take “hair inspiration” from anywhere or anything. Simply looking at a plant or flower can spark interest. Or looking at an existing hairstyle, and morphing it into something more. Hairstyles are endless and ever changing. Keeping up with trends and working with my right hand girls to always come up with new and more innovative styles is what we do. We love it! Crane Estate Wedding | Becca & Andrew

I have to start off by saying “Becca and Andrew are perfect for each other!” That being said, I began my morning meeting Becca and the girls at the Compass Rose Inn, in Newburyport. There I was greeted by the fabulous couple who manage the Inn. It was beautiful, homey, and oh so comfortable. I had Cassandra by my side to beautify 11 gorgeous gals, while Kerri Herlihy, Boston makeup extraordinaire was in the front of the house working her makeup magic! One by one we styled magnificent coiffure and had such a fun time.

Tracy from Tangorra Events arrived, checking in with everyone, asking if everyone is all set! She was a darling to work with, keeping everyone on track and organized. As the girls got dressed and walked back into the main room, I was mesmerized by the bridesmaid dresses! They were Anthropologie all the way with a small cut out in the back! Loved!! The girls were ready and off the the Crane Estate, where Becca was going to get ready with Katie Barnes from Dreamlove Wedding Photography catching every special moment. Her photos, seen below have this rustic, vintage look. The way she incorporates natural light is truly spectacular!

Boston Wedding Hairstylist | When to book?

I recently read a post by Tara at Tada Yourself discussing the topic of when to book your Boston vendor. She explained how important it is to book your vendors right away. I have to agree, being a Boston wedding hairstylist, I am already turning away 2013 clients because their dates are taken. I typically book out 9 months to a year and a half. When you know who you want to work with for your big day, make sure you secure them with a contract and deposit. It is better to have one more thing accomplished and get exactly who you want!
